About Us

Rara Foundation is a not-for-profit company registered in Company Registrar Office of Nepal in 2020 by the professionals from different sectors like social development; media; tourism and business with the objective to bring social change through tourism and sports. It is one of the sister organizations in a group of companies consisting of film/documentary maker (Rara Films), trekking operation and management company (West Himalaya Treks) and travel agency (West Himalaya Travels). Foundation envisions to become one of the exemplary institutions for the promotion and development of local tourism of remote communities of Nepal to realize the development thirst of the community. Apart from the promotion of local tourism it will also provide platform for the local youths to engage in sports specially football; enhance their skills and expose their capacity in the national and international tournaments to help them get the higher opportunities for their personal and professional development. Rara Foundation adopts sports, promotion of local tourism and media mobilization as its tool for the community development. It follows the non-discriminatory principals of development providing equal opportunities for all in general and for the West Nepal in particular.
